At Ours | Creative Studio, we’ve created more than a beautiful salon. We’ve built a creative home for independent professionals who want to do their best work, build successful businesses and be part of something bigger than simply renting a space.
Ours has been designed differently.
From the atmosphere and studio layout to the products we use, the events we create and the people we welcome, every decision has been made with intention. We’re a growing independent studio in the heart of Wakefield, bringing together talented professionals who value quality over quantity, collaboration over competition and creativity over convention.

We’re currently welcoming applications for: 2 × Experienced Self-employed Hair Stylists
We’re looking for experienced, qualified hair stylists with an established clientele who are ready to continue building their own business from a professional, creative and supportive salon environment.
Full-time chair rental is available at £37.50/day, based on a commitment of 4-5 days per week.
Our licence is calculated around 47 working weeks/year, allowing for 5 weeks away from the studio. We believe building your own business shouldn’t mean working every single week of the year.
Part-time opportunities may also be available, with rates dependent on your chosen working pattern.

We’re conveniently located near Wakefield’s main rail links:
• Wakefield Westgate Station – a 10 min walk to Providence Street, with frequent services across Yorkshire and beyond.
• Wakefield Kirkgate Station – a 5 min taxi ride, served by Northern and TransPennine routes.
Both stations offer easy access to the city centre and the studio.
Parking
There’s no client parking on site, but there are multiple convenient pay-and-display options within a short walk:
• 8 Providence St, Wakefield WF1 3BG – very close to the studio entrance.
• Borough Road Car Park WF1 3AZ– also a quick walk away.
• Trinity Walk / Ridings Centre Car Parks – larger city centre options a short distance away.
